The Open Days in Murcia have come to a successful close, reaffirming the company’s commitment to innovation and collaboration in the vegetable seed sector. From February 11 to 13, Tozer welcomed industry professionals from across Spain and beyond to its trial field in El Albujón, where they explored the latest innovations in celery, kale, wild rocket, and other key crops.

One of the highlights of the event was the series of informative sessions, where experts shared insights on critical industry topics. Among them, Dr. Jamie Claxton, the Director of Research and Development, delivered a well-received presentation on diseases in wild rocket, sparking engaging discussions among attendees.

Media coverage further amplified the event’s success, with renowned industry outlets such as Tele Cartagena, FH Murcia, Revista Mercados and many others reporting on the innovations showcased. “We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this year’s Open Days. The strong interest from both customers and media demonstrates the relevance of our work and the trust the industry places in our research and development,” said Manuel Hernández, Sales Manager for Spain and Portugal.

Throughout the three days, visitors had the opportunity to see firsthand 150 vegetable varieties, with special attention given to the newly introduced kale selections and the versatile TZ9533 celery. The presence of teams from the UK, Netherlands, USA, and China further reinforced the company’s global perspective and dedication to strengthening industry relationships.

As the company continues to innovate and support the Spanish market, the success of the Open Days serves as a testament to its leadership in vegetable breeding. With new developments on the horizon, the team looks forward to welcoming professionals to future events that foster knowledge-sharing and business growth.
