Tozer runs celery tastings at Fruit Attraction 2024
Last week Tozer was present at the leading fresh produce trade show Fruit Attraction in Madrid. As part of a long-term collaboration with Spanish 5-a-day association “5 al día”, of which it has been a member since 2017, Tozer offered celery tastings at the association’s grouped stand.
“As a leading vegetable seed supplier, we’re committed with the promotion of fresh produce consumption around the world”, says David Rogers, commercial director at Tozer. ”In Spain particularly, the consumption of celery is still low as it’s mainly consumed cooked and not fresh like in the rest of Europe. With these tastings, we want to promote raw celery as a great alternative snack”, he added.
“Celery is a vegetable that’s often underrated by Spanish consumers”, said Nuria Martínez Barea, director at “5 al día”. “This is only due to the lack of information and awareness. That’s why we’re very excited to implement promotional activities like this with our partner Tozer. I believe there’s a big potential for growth in celery consumption in Spain”, she declared.
